Artists first music videos

The artist I've chosen in BTS.

Their first official music video was 'no more dream' but that was released after the group had had a massive amount of hying up so they already had a few fans. Their actual first music video contains only three members out of 7. It is set in a dark room with only one light shining and members are only shown one at a time, they also wear black clothing to blend into the background and one of them wears a hat which casts a shadow of his eyes so that his identity isn't shown.

This concept makes the members come across as intimidating, which is exactly the style they were going for when they started off, as their original English name was bulletproof boyscouts.
The video also has a slightly grubby feel to it, and the way its only filmed with one camera could perhaps give off the impression that they don't have much money or have it easy.
In sections of the video it cuts to shots of nails which could represent that they are trying to come across as hard core.

digipak design

DigiPak analysis, Emiem- encore

title- represents how people want to hear more of his music

parental advisory sticker- shows that there will be explicit content that may not be appropriate for children

costume- suit connotes professionalism, maybe respect for the audience

font- backwards e represents that Eminem is quite different and wants to go against the norm

location/ setting- old fashioned style theatre connotes long term success and gang culture, he is positioned in the middle to show he is important and the centre of attention.

body language- bowing seems suspicious seeing as there's a hidden hand, but also the bowing could also seem like a humble thanks to the audience.

gun in hand connotes that he is a bit of a trickster and perhaps cannot be trusted my anyone.

the audience look slightly bored and not on high alert which could represent that they have no idea what they have coming, and maybe we don't either because the songs on his album are going to be a lot more different than anything he's done before.

eminem fools us again by making the gun fake, this could connote that he really isn't reliable and we will never know which Eminem is the real one.

the bang could perhaps connote that he has a humorous side to him.

the old style font could tie into the fact that he's in an old fashioned building, so it gives the album that satisfactory finish.
