The same member of our group came up with the idea of making a cap. This is because it targets a teenage/ young adult audience that our band is aiming for.

We've thought that instead of having the the door only used when they run down the corridor we could have it
- swing open in one shot
- have different members of the band in the corridor while the rest stay on the other side of the door
- we could have band members opening the door for a single line and then violently shutting it
Since we think we may want a little bit of red in our video, we think we may want to include it on the instruments. We think we may choose the drum set since it's visible enough to be seen, but not too obvious.
Here is some more merchandise made by the same band member.
We are very pleased with what they have made.
A member of the group has made a logo for the band.
We feel as if it very much goes with the vibe of the band
We have decided to name our band
"The sleeves"
we think its an appropriate name since its sophisticated but also has an edge of quirky-ness to it
We have come up with some new thoughts an ideas to our music video.
We think it would be suitable to the concept if we have a police light like strobe occurring in some sections.
We've also though about using the set with the door in more interesting ways.
We have decided that red would be an appropriate colour to use as long as it doesn't have much screen time, it could be used in a sudden burst of colour way.
We have to decided that for our video we want the colour palette to reflect the dark concept we have chosen. Below are some colour shade that we feel are the most appropriate.
My group and I have a meeting with the lighting designer on the Friday coming up so we need to give them a representation of what we want our lighting to be like so that they can have a clear idea.
Below are some images that best show the type of lighting we want to have.
Flashing light effect
We collected footage as similar to the idea as we could and then one member of our group edited the clips alongside to the music. We did this in order to get a good idea of what we need to do in order to obtain these goals we have for our video, and to see if we would face any issues and how to overcome them.
What went well is that we were able to get the lighting quite exact for what we wanted, and we had a go at forming the tiny room concept and we had a few issues with it falling down but overall we were able to put across the idea and it came out well.
We had one quite big issue when filming which was one of our band members didn't turn up so we had to film without them, we are not sure whether or not we should recast them since they are not always the most reliable of people.
When filming we quickly realised that we will not be able to fit the drummer with his kit in the tiny room so we decided to change it to just the drummer with his sticks in the tiny room.
The no sync footage worked well as we just took lots of photos and the put them next to each other so that the final product looked like a stop motion film. When doing this it was quite easy to then cut back into the sync because we could decide how many or how little of the photos we could use.
The changes we are going to have to make to the real thing is getting rid of the drum set in the tiny room, but apart from that I feel as if everything went to plan and we were able to create a clear image of what we wanted.
We had a look around on various different websites for items of clothing to use in order to obtain a vast selection of different things to choose from. However most of the items of clothing needed for the band members are already owned by the band members themselves.
Such as:
- jeans
- a white t-shirt
- normal black trainers
so the tings we really needed to look at were jackets and accessories.

Below is our test music video shoot, we gathered all of the casted members (with the exception of people that couldn't make it on certain days) and filmed shots and tried to make them as close to what we wanted as possible. Doing this really helped us prepare for what it would be like on the real day and it gave us a chance to see any possible problems that could occur.
In order to show development of our music video in a more efficient way, we gave different responsibilities of different sections to different members of our group. We did this in order to come up with different ideas in a faster and more effective way.
I was put in charge of deciding what the band members will be doing when running around in Guildford.
When the band members are in Guildford we need to make sure there is never a moment where it looks as if they don't know what they're doing, so I've come up with a series of actions that can be doing. This will make it a lot easier when it comes to filming and it means we won't waste anytime.
The list is:
- sitting down on a set of stairs each at different levels, looking off into the distance
- running looking panicked
- trying to get into a door
- running down a flight of stairs
- two or all members leaning against a wall and looking out into the distance
- sneaking up a road in single file
- running and jumping of a high level
- leaning against a bannister looking over the river
- running down tight corridors
- stopping to catch breath in areas with no people
These are a few of the selected locations that I got inspiration from
These are the final products of our storyboards, drawing them out really helped us develop our ideas further and think about the length of shots in a deeper way. I feel as if now we have a much clearer idea as to what we want our video to look like.
These are my original storyboards that I drew out for my group. I drew them to try and visualise an idea of what the final music video product is going to look like. I drew a basic idea of the shots so that my group and I could explore further and rag out shots if need be.
Since COVID is a very prominent issue at the moment, we have decided to create a safe back up list. This is so if we face the problem of a band member not being to do our music video, we have back ups and being we can use instead. We have already informed these people that we may use them so that they can prepare themselves to be on stand-by.
Our back ups are as followed:
Singer- Roualeyn Alford
Bass Guitar- Aran Tharmarantnam
Guitarist- Oscar Boatswain
Drummer- George Robertson
However since George is already being used in many videos we have a back up back up for the drummer
Back up back up drummer- Tommy Mclung
