We collected footage as similar to the idea as we could and then one member of our group edited the clips alongside to the music. We did this in order to get a good idea of what we need to do in order to obtain these goals we have for our video, and to see if we would face any issues and how to overcome them.
What went well is that we were able to get the lighting quite exact for what we wanted, and we had a go at forming the tiny room concept and we had a few issues with it falling down but overall we were able to put across the idea and it came out well.
We had one quite big issue when filming which was one of our band members didn't turn up so we had to film without them, we are not sure whether or not we should recast them since they are not always the most reliable of people.
When filming we quickly realised that we will not be able to fit the drummer with his kit in the tiny room so we decided to change it to just the drummer with his sticks in the tiny room.
The no sync footage worked well as we just took lots of photos and the put them next to each other so that the final product looked like a stop motion film. When doing this it was quite easy to then cut back into the sync because we could decide how many or how little of the photos we could use.
The changes we are going to have to make to the real thing is getting rid of the drum set in the tiny room, but apart from that I feel as if everything went to plan and we were able to create a clear image of what we wanted.
